2017 Septette Southern Oregon Pinot Noir
Brilliant candied cherries open the nose, quickly transitioning to dense cranberry and warm earth. The barrel influence slowly builds steam and becomes more pronounced as the aromatics shift yet again to toffee and warm butterscotch. The palate follows suit with a punchy opening of red currant, a broad oak backbone, and supple weight. The finish is generous with lingering red fruit and fine tannins. This wine is great to drink now but will continue to age with finesse and grace.
