2018 Trata Oregon Pinot Noir
From the Winemaking Team: This annual special barrel selection opens with a fusion of graphite, violets, and sweet cherry fruit on the nose. The palate transitions to an airy, uplifting core of black currant, cranberry, and boysenberry but also maintains a noticeable, yet delicate, oak influence. The finish is a unifying backbone of red raspberry, black cherry, with a sturdy but ever softening tannin profile. This is a wonderful example of how unique Oregon Pinot noir can be, and while it is currently very delicious, it is also a stellar candidate for extended aging, if you have the patience and willpower to wait to enjoy it!
