This wine, made from our oldest Chardonnay block on the estate, opens with honeydew melon on the nose folding in to herbal elements of lemongrass, mint, and a mild licorice root. The juicy melon pops on the palate, this time including Crenshaw, cantaloupe, and a tart Asian pear. The big fruit is accompanied by a broad density and weight that is highlighted by the spirited acid profile. The acid carries through to the finish and gives a gentle texture along side lingering characteristics of orange blossom and a gentle nudge of oak.
