2019 Ecarte Southern Oregon Pinot Noir
This estate Pinot Noir Pommard made exclusively with the Pommard clone opens with a burst of red and blue berry flavors but shifts toward a warmer profile of cherry cobbler and baking spice while maintaining a freshness owing to notes of slate and Eucalyptus. The palate is generous and broad with most of the weight hitting the mid-palate. Gentle flavors of blueberry, loganberry, and cassis combined with a subtle oak profile allow for the texture to shine alongside a wonderful acid-tannin tension. This wine will continue to evolve and create new and interesting complexities over the next 10 years.
