2019 Passé Oregon Chardonnay
This single clone Chardonnay opens with candied citrus, lemon grass, and pastry tart wrapped in a warm spice. The warm sweet notes on the nose carry to the palate in the form of weight and texture that complement the flavors of citrus fruits, peach pit, and a saline driven note of cured lemon rinds. The addition of a partial ML conversion adds to the complexity on the palate in the form of texture and works in tandem with a soft but noticeable oak presence. This is a character driven wine with the capacity to age gracefully but is also an intriguing choice as a wine to enjoy now.
