2020 Piqué Oregon Sangiovese

A brickish hue and aromatics of deep red fruit, dried herbs, and warm leather open the nose on this Italian favorite.  Red fruits abound on the palate with red plum, red currant, and Morello cherries while dusty earth and barrel spice accompany the fruit, adding shifting layers of intrigue. While still young, the grip of the tannins provide great texture alongside lighter finishing flavors of peach pit and shaved coconut. This wine has a framework for age-ability and an opportunity to really shine as it comes into its own.
