2021 En Croix Southern Oregon Chardonnay

This estate Chardonnay opens with bosc pear, citrus, marzipan, and a gentle salinity on the nose. The palate is nervy and fresh with kumquat and green pear leading the flavor charge with a bit of honey, wet flint, and crushed almonds tucked behind the citrus. Despite the flashy acid profile, the texture is softer than expected and lends itself well to finishing notes of sweet dough, almond flour, and candied lemons.
